The Energy Front

Despite the intensity of the fights with Russia in the south-east of Ukraine, several coal mines are still in operation within 100 km of the front line. Built under the USSR near the mining sites, some towns in the region remain entirely dependent on the coal economy. An activity on the decline, which became strategic again with the war.
